The Foundation exceeded its fundraising goals for 2016:

The grants paid by the Magnet Foundation over the past year include:

    • $430 for MagPi bowling

    • $1,000 for the TASS trip to Fermilab

    • $650 for video recording equipment

    • $2,500 for the ACSL All-Star team

    • $2,000 for the Montgomery County ARML team

    • $1,200 to buy a band saw for the R&E lab

    • $630 for the Science Olympiad team

    • $550 to attend a Materials Science conference

    • $270 to attend Chemistry conference

    • $2,500 for acid storage cabinets

    • $1,000 for the Quiz Bowl team

    • $440 for Computer Science Day

    • $350 for BioEyes zebrafish

    • $140 for the CyberSecurity team

    • $780 to support a maker space in the library
