About the Foundation

The Montgomery Blair High School Magnet Foundation was founded by a group of concerned students, teachers, administrators, and alumni in the spring of 2008, when Montgomery County significantly cut the budget for the Magnet Program. After speaking with many members of the community and investigating the actions taken by other schools in similar situations, they created this foundation to support the Magnet Program.

The Foundation is incorporated in the state of Maryland and is a public charity exempt from Federal income tax under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.
