The Foundation is supporting the Magnet Program with several grants this school year, including:
Up to $15,000 to support the sophomore Wallops Island trip (flickr), keeping the cost per student under $500
$3,600 for the Montgomery Blair Middle School Math Tournament (@blairmagnet)
$900 for teacher to participate in NCSSS Conference
$800 to support Blair STEM night (@blairprincipal)
$2,700 to buy eclipse glasses for all Blair students and staff (Silver Chips)
$870 for Science Olympiad teams (@ihartblair)
$2,900 for Vernier chemistry lab equipment
$2,000 for InvenTable and Raspberry Pi engineering equipment
$300 for biochemistry materials
$500 to renew Matlab license
$1,200 to register teams for the COMAP Math Modeling competition
$400 for Magnet Class of '24 mugs
