The Magnet Foundation's Board of Directors met remotely in April 2020, approving several grants:
$500 to support Pi Day at Blair (@blairprincipal)
$200 to purchase Adobe software licenses for Silver Quest editors to use at home
Up to $2,000 to support the Females in Science and Technology (FIST) Conference, which may be held as a virtual event this year
The Board is considering a donation to support Blair families affected by the pandemic
Did You Know: The Blair Magnet first opened its doors 35 years ago, in the fall of 1985. The Foundation was planning an anniversary celebration this summer, but this event will likely be postponed to next year, when restrictions on travel and on large gatherings are lifted.
