Foundation News: Fall 2025

Take Action: The Foundation is encouraging the Magnet community to speak out on MCPS's proposed changes to high school special programs:

• In August, the Foundation issued a call to action to the Magnet community

• The Foundation has prepared a letter-writing guide to help you advocate on behalf of the Blair Magnet

The Foundation funded many Magnet activities at the end of the 2024-25 school year:

• Math Team running the Montgomery Blair Math Tournament: $4,860

• Teachers attending BOND Academy Conference: $895

• State competition for Science Olympiad: $670

• Silver Quest printing costs: $2,600

• Quiz Bowl NAQT National Championship: $850

• Blair Fair: $3,000

• Montgomery County ARML Team:  $7,600

• Robotics Team FIRST Championship: $2,300

Board News:

• Angelique Bosse joined the Board of Directors

• President Zeki Mokharzada '96 and Vice-President Eileen Steinkraus were re-elected to the Board
