Magnet Foundation News: Fall 2017

The Magnet Foundation's Board of Directors recently approved several grant requests:

• • $2,500 to purchase a CNC router for the Robotics Team

  • $2,500 to cover the printing costs for Silver Quest

  • $360 to register teams for Science Olympiad

Additional Magnet Foundation business:

• • Bylaw changes were approved regarding the addition and resignation of Board members; a process for approving grant applications by e-mail was formalized.

  • The Board is considering finalists for the 2018 Distinguished Alumni Award.

  • The Magnet Pipeline Project has enrolled 39 Montgomery County third graders in math classes at the AoPS Academy.
