Robotics Team:
The Blair Robot Project won the 2019 FIRST Chesapeake Bethesda event, their first blue banner in fifteen years! (@FRCteam449)
The team won the Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers Entrepreneurship Award at both the Bethesda event and the Blacksburg event.
At the Chesapeake District Championships, the team reached the finals, barely missing the championship by two points.
The team is competing at the FIRST World Championship in Detroit April 24-27th, but they need financial support to cover the $5,000 registration fee. Please consider making a donation on BoostMySchool or on Facebook.
Senior Research:
Blair's three Regeneron STS Finalists, Grace Cai, Kevin Qian, and Daniel Schäffer, joined their peers in Washington, DC where they each won $25,000 scholarships.
Daniel Schäffer's research was highlighted by the NIH Intramural Research Program.
Naveen Durvasula won the 2018-19 ACM/CSTA Cutler-Bell Prize, a $10,000 cash award.
Steven Qu was selected to compete at the 2019 National JSHS in Albuquerque, New Mexico. (@MsBosseBlair)
Kevin Qian won the Physics category at the 2019 Montgomery County Science Fair and will compete at the International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF) in Phoenix, Arizona. (@MsBosseBlair)
Naveen Durvasula won the Mathematics category and is the first alternate for ISEF.
Rohit Harapanhalli won a first place prize in the Biology category; and Lara Ojha won a first place prize in the Physics category.
Ryan Cho and Telon Yan won a $100 prize from the American Nuclear Society.
Anika Seth and Shruti Chauhan won a $100 prize from the Biophysical Society.
Rohit Harapanhalli and Amanda Liu won a $100 prize from Sigma Xi.

Senior Nobline Yoo was one of the national winners of the 2019 NCWIT Award for Aspirations in Computing.
Senior Daniel Zhu was part of the U.S. team that won the Romanian Master of Mathematics competition. (maa.org)

Freshmen Dhruv Pai & Priya Moorjani won Honorable Mention in C-SPAN's 2019 StudentCam competition, asking "What Does it Mean to Be American? - We Are"

Math Team: Blair hosted the 5th annual Montgomery Blair Math Tournament for middle school students.
Rubik's Cube: Blair's teams won the 2x2 and 3x3 competitions at the Baltimore Rubik's Challenge. (@MrPham_at_MBHS)

Biology Team: Freshman Ashley Thommana placed 2nd at the D.C. Regional Brain Bee (@MBHSBioTeam); three students are semifinalists for the U.S. Biology Olympiad (@MsBosseBlair).
Cybersecurity Team: Blair competed against college teams, finishing in 3rd place at UMBC DawgCTF 2019 (@UMBCCyberDawgs) and in 2nd place at UMDCTF 2019 (@umdcsec); the fourth annual ångstromCTF competition is underway!

Puzzlepalooza is seconds away . . . The tenth annual Puzzlepalooza will take students to the National Zoo, and the Puzzlelords need volunteers on May 23rd.
