Robotics Team Fundraiser: The Foundation is helping to raise $5,000 for the FIRST World Championship registration fee - donate on BoostMySchool or on Facebook!
The Foundation approved grants funding several recent events:
$1,000 for the Blair Hacks 3 Hackathon (Silver Chips)
$1,800 to buy t-shirts for the Females in Science & Technology Conference (@blairmagnet)
The Board approved new grants for:
$750 facility rental fees for the Youth Climate Summit in Silver Spring
$900 for the Blair DECA Chapter's trip to the International Career Development Conference
$1,875 registration for three teams going to the National History Bowl
$2,000 for the blair3sat (@blair3sat) team's registration fees to attend the Small Satellite Production Conference
$1,000 for a motor for the Engineering Club's (@mbhsengineering) Solar Car
Changes to the Board of Directors:
Ralph Bunday has retired from his position on the Board.
Anne Taylor, Magnet parent (and former Blair Social Studies teacher) has been invited to join the Board.
