Bay Area alumni are organizing a Happy Hour on May 16th in San Francisco!
Several young alumni won prestigious scholarships and awards:
Rohan Puttagunta '10, a senior at Stanford, won a Terman Engineering Scholastic Award and invited Susan Ragan to be honored at the award ceremony in April.
Fang Cao '11, a junior at the University of Maryland, was named a 2014 Truman Scholar.
Rafael Setra '11, a junior at the University of Maryland, was named a 2014 Goldwater Scholar. Daniel Farias '11 was named an Honorable Mention.

Helen Fields '93 wrote an article for Smithsonian Magazine: As the Planet Warms, What Happens to the Reindeer?
Pat Yongpradit '96, director of education at Code.org, was interviewed in a story in the Washington Post: High School Students Are All About Computers But Get Little Instruction In Computer Science.
Wendy Chang '99 is an Assistant Professor at the University of Maryland School of Medicine.
Alison (Horner) Cardy '02 is a career coach who wrote an article for Forbes online: 3 Telltale Signs You're on the Wrong Career Path.
Abigail Fraeman '05 is finishing her Ph.D. in Planetary Science at Washington University in St. Louis and will be at Caltech/JPL for a postdoc this fall (video/JPL). She was interviewed in February for a Scientista Spotlight.
