Magnet Foundation News: Spring 2012

The Magnet Foundation is hosting a free screening of the PhD Movie at the Blair auditorium on Thursday, May 17, 2012 at 8:00pm. Alex Lockwood '03 stars in the movie, and she will be in attendance to answer questions and meet with alumni and students. Please RSVP on Facebook. We hope to see you there!

The Magnet Foundation approved several grants this spring:

• • $1,000 for the Quiz Bowl team to attend the PACE Scholastic Championship

  • $2,000 to pay the registration fees for Montgomery County's ARML teams

  • $2,025 to help 5 students and 2 teachers attend the NCSSSMST Conference

  • $2,173 to help 15 students and 2 teachers attend the ACSL All-Star Competition

  • $500 to purchase cabinets for Entomology

The Foundation is looking for more alumni to get involved. Please contact board@mbhsmagnet.org if you are interested. We need:

• • Alumni interested in serving on the Board of Directors

  • Alumni or parents who can volunteer to support the ARML team

  • Alumni interested in helping to build a stronger alumni network
