Blair was recognized for its Gifted and Talented prgrams:
Montgomery Blair High School was one of five schools to win the Maryland Excellence in Gifted and Talented Education (EGATE) award.
James Shafer was featured in the Gazette's "Voices in Education."
Blair students continued to win many awards:
Montgomery Blair High School finished in second place nationwide in the Fall 2010 Knowledge Master Open.
Blair had seven semifinalists in the 2011 Intel Science Talent Search: seniors Fang Cao, Andrew Das Sarma, Ajay Kannan, Nilay Kumar, Winston Liu, Sandra Yan, and Raina Zheng.
The Blair team of Alexander Briese '11, Andrew Das Sarma '11 (Capt.), Diwakaran Ilangovan '13, Sandra Yan '11, and Samuel Zbarsky '13 won first place at the Maryland Science Bowl.
Alexander Gibiansky '11 won first place at Junior Science and Humanities Symposium (JSHS) Greater Washington, DC Regional Competition on January 7, 2011.
Shilpa Kannan '11 won the 2010 Siemens Award for Advanced Placement for the state of Maryland. (pdf)
Adam Ewel '12 earned the rank of Eagle Scout after completing a service project planting trees in Little Bennett Regional Park in Clarksburg.
Many students won awards at the Montgomery County Science Fair.
