Magnet Foundation News: Fall 2021

Grant applications approved:

• $2,000 for a Blair staff breakfast in August (@blairprincipal)

• $2,400 to buy Raspberry Pi kits

• Up to $1,500 to enter the COMAP math modeling competition

• $2,200 to support a Bunnybots competition at Blair in December

• $1,500 for Blairhacks in February

• $250 for Rent-A-Coop egg hatching

• $400 for a trail camera in the Blair wetlands

The Magnet Foundation Board of Directors met (virtually) several times in August, September, and October to discuss the pandemic changes to the selection process for the Magnet program and how to advocate for the Magnet community as MCPS hires a new Superintendent.
