Hormuzd Katki at National Cancer Institute

Hormuzd Katki '92 is a tenure-track biostatistician and cancer researcher at the National Cancer Institute at NIH.  His research involves proposing models for individualized prediction of cancer risk (in particular, breast and cervical cancer) to improve cancer screening and reduce screening costs, statistical methods for studying the epidemiology of Human Papilloma Virus (HPV) and HPV-related cancers, and evaluation of screening or HPV-vaccine programs for preventing cervical cancer (especially in low-resource settings).
 
He also volunteers to help promote the benefits of scientific expertise in the human rights community through the AAAS Science and Human Rights Coalition.
